Having been stung by a wasp last week I was a bit wary when I came across this today - a wasps' nest in the ground, or more accurately half a wasps' nest - the other half having been dug up by a badger. The large queen wasp is right in the middle. Not the best photograph I've taken but I wasn't going to have another go with so many angry wasps around.
