Music in da Museum

A few showers this morning soon passed, and been a fine enough day, but overcast.  This evening saw heavy torrential rain and more showers continued after.

Up early and managed a big walk with Sammy before work.  It's been a busy day in the museum.  There's been loads to setup for a last minute booking in our auditorium.  No rest for me today, nipped home at lunchtime, back to work and then on for the rest of the day, including tonight.  I'm needed in tonight to cover staff illness, hopefully not be too late.

Due to more illness, the Shetland Island Council had no catering for this evening's events and the staff in the museum and café pulled out all the stops for them.  Everything has gone great, meal first class, wine served chilled and with a smile and then even some traditional music from a fee school bairns.  Hope the delegates from afar enjoy their experience here in the museum and pass on the good word.  Taken in the foyer in the Shetland Museum, Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
