After the Interval

The Garrick Theatre in London has just gone through a major refurbishment to welcome the Kenneth Branagh's Theatre Company for their first season. The play we saw this evening was The Entertainer by John Osborne is not a play I know very well but is one of Jack's favourites. He saw Olivier in the lead in the late 50s. There is a film made in the early 60s

I found the first half a bit messy but enjoyed the second act more. The part played by young Joan Plowright was acted by the little kitchen maid from Downton Abbey
which really didn't work for me.

As always a nice pre theatre dinner in Côte!
