Too large - Too much -Too slow

My Elements 10 organizer has become slow ....
Getting too large, I think, too many files.
Have been cleaning up today already quite some folders and delete redundant and useless files .... hmmmm .... takes a lot of time ... with only marginal progress ...
Have to split up my archive, I guess, to speed up this exercise.
