le weekend

Finally, the weekend: the first week back went without a hitch but everyone was looking utterly exhausted by the end of it. The children all overdosed on seeing their friends and running around daft; the clubs started up; Nanny McPhee worked wonders. 

+1/2 was out for an end-of-week drink with her colleagues so it was a quiet evening for +1/3 and me.
