The Apple saga continues: Apple have managed to create a system whereby you need an apple to re-build an apple. I want to sell an old iMac so I wiped the hard disk completely clean with the intention of reinstalling the latest version of OS X. Mistake #1. No physical media and no way to directly download an ISO that you can burn to a DVD. Way to go Apple. To be fair, a bit of reading between the lines would have shown me that all reinstall methods required a working OS X system... 

Next up in the list of gripes: ebay finally refunded me... for a camera that I sold and that their global shipping services lost. In between the sale (29th May) and now I've spent countless hours talking to ebay about the issue, and their customer service, while being very polite, are absolutely useless: no power to do anything and when they say they absolutely will get back to you within 48-72h (soooo speedy) they don't. Muppets. In a nutshell: absolutely never use their global shipping service.

The after effects of the Foo Fighters gig continue: some Foos on during dinner and +1/3 commented that it's just not the same as seeing them live... :)
