The Suspects' Mug Shots
It is a rare occasion indeed for my brother and sister-in-law to make the hazardous journey north to the wilds of Scotland from the leafy environs of Bath. However this was such an occasion albeit a sad one for them, as they were on their way further north for a funeral of one of their closest friends.
Today we met up for lunch in their hotel on the slopes of the Braids and a jolly time was had by all even if His Lordship looks in the blip as if some big boy has stolen his scone and run away.
We hadn't met up since my birthday 2 years ago, so there was much catching up to do on the family front. We ate until we could eat no more, the likely lads drank until they could drink no more before we departed just in time to avoid a contingent of solemn people arriving in a fleet of cars for a wake. That would have put a damper on our proceedings.
Thank you Robin and Kate for a lovely lunch and the flash of your bank card. It will be our shout next year when we come to Bath for your Golden Wedding. We had better start saving now.
