Men at Work

Rather chaotic today!......
we knew to expect the painters at 8am
Yesterday we cleared garden furniture from the terraces, moved pots of plants, cut back all the plants climbing up the walls, removed all tiles/ decorations hanging on the walls.....we were determined that the painting team would have clear spaces, so they could crack on and paint!
We also knew that scaffolding, ladders, wooden planks, and paint would have to come through the house.....both downstairs and upstairs
So, we were up promptly, ....showered, dressed, breakfasted, bed made, car moved on to the street......and ready to receive the workmen....by 8am.
They have been with us all day....painting every surface within reach!........ they knocked off at 6pm.
It was another very hot day.....but they painted, chatted, sang and whistled all day.....
Tomorrow........another early start for us ....
The painters will check everything is good....
.then start the dismantling of the scaffolding.........and carry everything out.....through the house....in reverse order!

Phew!..... That'll be our house painted, for another decade....
l hope! ....
and the painters?...... They'll move on to our neighbour's house!
