St. Oswald's Church Yard, Grasmere.

Interesting day weather wise. Fine this morning while we were out walking in the vicinity of Latrigg first thing.

Over to Elterwater where we enjoyed soup and scone in the Maple Leaf Cafe opposite the Britannia Inn. Both the tomato soup and scone were excellent. While in the cafe the sun shine brightly.

It soon clouded over and while we were pushing the wheelchair along the Great Langdale Beck it rained so we had to do a swift about turn back to the car.

From Elterwater it was over to Grasmere for a pootle around the shops and galleries as the rain poured down. Very much enjoyed the William Heaton Cooper Gallery, very taken with his water colours.

Eventually the rain passed and we were blessed with some bright late afternoon sunshine as we strolled through the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden and the Wordsworth Family graves.

It was a mystical drive back to Keswick, sunshine with mist rolling around the valleys and caps of cloud writhing the peaks. The view from the terrace at Oakfield House was something special, something of the impressionist about it, but not for long as as dusk fell so did the rain.
