A lifetime in pictures
Today I spent several hours at a relative's house near Exeter looking at some of the personal belongings which he acquired after the death of our great-aunt Emily. Her husband was a water engineer in the Sudan both between the wars and during the second war, after which they came home and built a house in Devon to retire to. They called the house 'Journey's End', which was rather ironic in a way as her husband died not very long after the house was completed. Emily lived as a widow for another thirty-odd years, giving up the ghost in her late nineties.
This is a selection of some of the photo albums, plus a couple of little clay pyramids.
