Maillots de bain (swimsuits)

The view from our table on a shady café terrace, through several other cafés, at lunchtime in Portiragnes-plage after a swim in the sea. The water was warmer than it's been all summer and even though half of northern Europe seemed to be there with us on the beach I need to get to the sea every so often. Roll on September when the beaches will be empty but the sea still warm! A perfect seaside lunch of anchovy salad, calamares à la romaine, pistachio and chocolate ice cream, a carafe of rosé and a cup of strong coffee.
