Red desert

250-million-year-old footprints (Early Permian therapsids at La Lieude, disappointingly difficult to see or photograph so they're not in this one), the Red Desert, swimming in le Lac de Salagou (lovely apart from a strong north wind making it a bit chilly to get out of the water), picnic lunch on the shore, buying rosé at Cabrières......and now I'm called to apéritifs and then duck for supper - a wonderful day!

This was taken a few kilometres from La Lieude and almost on the spot where I took this last year.
