Olympic towels

We had tickets for the Greco Roman Wrestling today - 55 and 74kg weight classes - from qualifiers up to semi-finals - at the Excel centre.

Unfortunately for eldest and hubby random kiddy illness struck and a high temp and lethargy meant that they stayed at my cousins house, while I went with tiddler and two of my cousins girls.

None of us had any idea of the rules and it was a little confusing in the early rounds when three matches were being held at the same time. Hubby watched on the telly and was in stitches with some of the commentary and some of the positions that are part of the sport.

I loved the big and little coaches in this blip - they are only able to cool them off between rounds with a flapping towel and no water.

There were no GB contestants so we were randomly picking our contestant of choice - we made a lot of noise for the Danish, Swedish and Cuban contestants, but the most enthusiastic fans were definitely the Georgians and the Uzbekistanis.
