Journey forward

64 Degrees South

Our return flight from Sydney to Johannesburg took the great circle route , getting down to 64 degrees south, and we were rewarded with spectacular views of pack ice, ice floes and icebergs for almost 3 hours of our flight across the Southern Ocean at 36,000feet. It was ice as far as the eye could see. A very bleak landscape, but nontheless fantastic in its barren beauty. Something we will never forget.
