Cannons,Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes

This array of cannon will be at the centre of yacht racing next week as thousands of boats and crews arrive in the Isle of Wight for the annual Cowes Week Regatta.

The cannon are in front of the Royal Yacht Squadron Castle from where all the races are started and go off with a tremendous bang. The competitors will be hoping for rather more wind than there has been today.
