Bales at Quendale

A muggy and misty morning produced a big thunder and lightning storm, with heavy rain.  It soon cleared the air, dried up and a lovely warm calm evening with a glorious sunset :)

Poor Sammy was petrified walkies this morning with the thunder, but he managed to get through it and off to work I went.  I've been working all day in the Croft House Museum, and had a busy day.  With the heavy rain, there was a few leaks and puddles, new roof needed!  I popped along granny on the way home, aunt Joan was there too :)  Granny is well and looking forward to her 90th birthday :)  It's been a fine evening for walkies with Sammy and now a quiet night in with the telly :)

Mam and niece Eve popped along the croft house for a visit, and we headed for a run at lunchtime.  We headed to Quendale and Garthsness, and stopped to speak with the donkeys too.  I could see they've been busy on the farm here, but these bales must be soaking after all that rain.  Looking down to Quendale Mill and Quendale House.
