Training for Fontainebleau

When mid August arrives it's generally time to cut down on the pies and pints and start forming some sort of training plan for our annual pilgrimage to Fontainebleau in October.

Fontainebleau, or Font if you hail from the UK, is perhaps the most famous bouldering area in the world. It's also renowned for its chateau and as a bit of a melting pot for the impressionist movement.

The bizzare contraption in the blip is a fingerboard. It hangs above my door and I hang from it by my finger tips. Finger strength is perhaps the limiting factor in rock climbing so time spent on this is time well spent.
