Tate Britain

Staying in our "interesting" hotel, we've had a chance to explore a part of London new to us.

We started in Westminster Cathedral, splendid and colourful and so often left off the list of important London buildings.

Tate Britain was next - indulging in Turners, Constables and some of my absolute favourite pre-Raphaelites.

We walked round a corner and these dancers were in front of us. Pablo Bronstein - historical dancers in an antique setting.

The Rex Whistler Restaurant in the Tate Britain is exquisite. Splendid three courses with matching wines (and SO much helpful and interesting information). If you've ever eaten in the Portrait Restaurant in the National Portrait Gallery, this is a similarly wonderful experience.

Time to relax before an evening with Kenneth Branagh.

That nightmare train journey was well worth it.
