This lioness ran past with the head of a young doe, a reminder that the natural world can be a brutal place.
 
In this case though the animal would have been dead before being thrown to the lioness.
 
   
The Blair Drummond safari park had officially closed and I was the last to leave when this happened.

The Judy Murray tennis saga:
The Times carried a story today about the clash between Ann Gloag and Judy Murray."Big hitters clash over tennis project".

I am quoted in the article:" This is a real David and Goliath battle. We are up against developers with powerful friends, deep pockets and celebrity contacts." 
However, in my letter to the Herald today I put the case more bluntly. Here is an extract in relation to SportScotland  who have already invested £3.3 million in developing tennis in the past five years:
"...Surely this is a better use of .public money  than funding  what is ultimately a vanity project on a controversial green belt site?"
