Common Sandpiper
A lovely bird, with a very delicate wing feather pattern, showing off beautifully on the banks of the Wadi. Very active and a habitual bobber, apparently this is know as 'teetering'(you learn something new everyday, make sure you slip that into a conversation!)The Common Sandpiper has a peculiar stiff, bowed wing flight and a three note call before it flies off! Very common around the Wadi but hard to spot and catch staying still. This bird eats a diet entirely of insects.
