Diary of an Edinburgher

An exciting day!

What an exciting day for Archie! Not that he ever has boring days, on the whole. Camila, one of his favourite borrowers came back from her summer holidays. She's been away for months, but she got a crazed Archie welcome. She brought her sister too - they're both at uni here. JR whipped up a cake and sent the girls off with the remainder - I hid my disappointment well...

No sooner had Archie recovered from that excitement, and he and I settled down to watch the Davis Cup tennis, than another highlight of his week happened - Elizabeth arrived. Cue the most crazed welcome of them all.

She sent loads of photos from the top of Arthur's Seat! No wonder he loves her so much - they go humungous walks. He's snoozing now.

I'm really enjoying Joanna Lumley's Japan - she's a brilliant presenter, so charming with the people she meets. And funny. And Japan looks very interesting. A possible holiday destination for us? Hmmmmm...
