Dale Chihuly
We have a day in Seattle and so took ourselves off to explore. We first took a boat across Puget Sound to the very pleasant little town of Bainbridge. When we returned, we strolled through the hectic Pike Park market seeing stalls fall of huge Alaskan salmon, tuna, jumbo scallops, lobster and crab - I guess it must all be eaten, but so much!
...... and then, the piece de resistance! - the Dale Chihuly glass museum and garden. Dale Chihuly is an American glass artist, mostly blown glass, of extraordinary beauty. The colours and glasswork are so vivid. My extras are all from this show. This was the highlight of Seattle for me and if you are ever in this part of the world do make effort to see his work
