Moody colours
Yesterday I had a quiet morning plant recording round Baston, which involved a quick visit to a nearby garden centre to use their facilities. It was rather an expensive visit as I ended up buying some seed and this wonderful deep, smoky-red Rudbeckia, which will add some colour to the autumnal garden.
Today was another very early start to (hopefully) make the last trek to Surrey to translocate a population of Roman Snails. Numbers were very low, so we've clearly done a good job of finding them on our previous visits.
The car started playing up on the journey home, so has been booked into the garage on Friday. Not very convenient, as I have to be out in the field nearly every day for the next week, to finish all the survey work by the end of the month!
