Just ivy...

The car's performance declined further today - the garage said it was OK to drive it, but the journey to Stamford was a bit nerve-wracking, as the engine fluttered when accelerating and stuttered when idling. Unfortunately the battery of the Galaxy was flat, but that's now been remedied, so the Corsa can stay on the drive until it goes into the garage on Friday.

Despite the car stress, the day had some good moments, particularly a walk round the fringes of Stamford in gentle mist, where I came across this ivy growing on a rather decrepit corrugated metal fence. And, as a consequence of our car troubles, I had a relatively relaxed afternoon, possibly all for the best as the next three days have fieldwork commitments that can't be changed.
