One Man & His Dog

I ,must have taken 200 pictures today on our travels but the series I took of this chap with his dog made me smile. We were at Watergate Bay and the tide was out. We walked to the waters edge where we spotted this dog in the sea apparently on his own. He was jumping the waves as they were breaking & occasionally barking. It was then that we spotted his Dad who was out a little way waiting for that perfect wave that never came. Eventually he waded into the shallows & man & dog greeted each other with some excitement. Then they ran through the breakers in front of me having great fun - the dog would run ahead then look back to make sure that Dad was there & when he caught up would dash off again & repeat the ritual. It was a wonderful sight to see..

The day started with C getting up 1st and announcing that she felt better not 100% but much better so we breakfasted & headed for Prideaux Place. We couldn't park so I we headed for Constantine Bay. The SatNav somehow got us lost & we missed it so we headed on to Bedruthen Steps an NT beauty spot where we walked to admire the views. When we came back we went in the cafe where we had bacon butties & coffee....not very healthy you might say but Hey we are on holiday. Because we were so close to Watergate Bay we had to go there because we both adore this place. The sandy beaches go on forever with great views of Newquay in the distance. Here we had an ice cream ! Back to the car then on to Constantine Bay - yes we found it & when we got there realised that we HAD been there before. Back to the pad where we had a bit of a rest before going into Padstow to try some Rick Stein Fish & Chips which we ate in the car park. After some average fish & chips we had a walk around night time Padstow where lots of other people were wandering too. Back to the pad by 9 pm.

Night night
