Pick me up?

At lunchtime, there's an office trip to Asda. the nearest place where we can buy food. The number of people on the trip is variable as is its duration; sometimes we're all done in a few minutes and sometimes someone is doing something akin to a weekly shop.

Today it was just me and Steve who made the trip. He had a bit more to buy than me, so I ended up waiting by the island of newspapers. The headlines were all dull and predictable, and I ended up looking at the magazines.

I don't know if I've ever noticed 'Pick Me Up' before but, Jesus, who would get picked up by this cocktail of misery? What does reading this do to your worldview?
