Gin ye daur

From my shelves, no idea where this came from.    It's the story of The City of Edinburgh Squadron. No 603.   The Squadron fought in WW2 based at various stations from Edinburgh to Cyprus, and on rotation into the thick of things in the south of England during the Battle of Britain.

Note the cigarette dangling nonchalantly.

The Squadron (still in being today, based in Edinburgh and involved in Force Protection) has the motto "Gin ye daur".   Which being loosely translated and interpreted means "Go on I dare you!!!!"
