Day 2 Yorkshire
This morning, after a lovely breakfast, we checked out and drove over to the bottom of Lake Windermere which wasn't far from where we were staying. It was a little disappointing as we couldn't walk very far around the lake from where we were and the sky was a bit cloudy. After a dry flapjack, we drove to Tatton Park in Cheshire. The traffic was great and coming the majority of the journey early on was definitely the best thing to do. In Cheshire it was another lovely September day. We spent a couple of hours looking around Tatton Park before heading home. Tatton is massive and was extremely busy. The gardens were disappointing and not a patch on other National Trust properties that we've visited.
It was a lovely weekend away and we'll definitely be returning to Yorkshire soon to explore it a bit further.
