Manchester Art Gallery

Today I went to Manchester with my watercolour group. We went to the Art Gallery in the centre, I'd been years ago but had forgotten how big it was. There were students sitting on the floor all over the place doing drawings from the paintings so I was afraid that I'd accidently step on someone.  There was also a school group there so the gallery is very well used.

I particularly love the Pre-Raphaelites, this is their Gallery with some of the students sitting around.

I had hoped to look round the Town Hall as I've heard that it's beautiful but all the rooms were in use so we could only go into the entrance hall. A disappointment for today but perhaps on another occasion I'll go on an official tour.
