flower and bee

Spent some time chilling out in my son-in-law's garden after a fairly arduous drive down. I got caught on the country road behind a HUGE transformer on the back of a big lorry - it had a van with flashing lights leading the way and we did between 10 and 30 mph. Took a diversion off the road through Kelso, and back onto the A698 just before Coldstream. Unfortunately for me (although not for the locals), it was the festival day, so it took nearly an hour to get through the town. However, the upgraded A1 meant that the second half of the journey was relatively painless.

Not sure what this plant is, but I did notice that Trev had planted the garden so that lots of different insects (bees and butterflies) are attracted to different plants. He was a clever lad.
