Couer D'Alene Idaho (known for potatoes)

We left Wanatchee and travelled (forever it seemed) across the endless plains with the road straight all the way in front of us to the town of Couer D'Alene. Named by early French fur trappers, the town is set on a large lake. This photo was taken as we left town, fall has arrived and the leaves are rapidly changing colour with the onset of much cooler evenings.
