These Foolish Things #2

The scent of roses

While we were doing the watering and harvesting more runner beans in Pat & John's (our former neighbours) garden this morning, we suddenly caught the scent from these roses at the top of the garden. On a warm summer evening like this, they loved to sit on this bench with a G &T and we would often chat across the fence. Sepia and Billie Holliday's version seemed somehow appropriate for this first entry for my These Foolish Things Challenge.

Got out on the bikes for the first time in ages this afternoon.
