Starting With A Bang.

There were some pyrotechnics before kick off at Yeovil's first home game of the season against Birmingham which turned out to be an exciting affair. Sadly, we lost 1 - 0 to a scrappy goal and, to make matters worse, our goalie Marek Stech broke his hand after 5 minutes and looks like being unable to play again for 3 months. We played well and deserved a point really and, once again, certainly looked as though we can hold our own in the Championship.

In more important news, Tess's Dad had a comfortable night in hospital and appears to be recovering from what they think was a minor heart attack; he's had more serious ones before, having suffered with heart problems for the last 40 years or so (strangely around the time that Tess and I met!), is on his second pacemaker, and has coped stoically with previous attacks, so hopefully he'll be able to do the same again
