Ronda
We are in Ronda, Spain for an evening on our way to Barcelona tomorrow. What a beautiful little (35,000 people) town. We have read much of the Andalusia hills towns, but no words can prepare a person for seeing them (well, Ronda anyway) in person. This is the classic view of the new bridge, new being relative as it was built in the late 1700s. Rising 390 feet above the Rio Guadalevín this bridge is spectacular to say the least. I had to leave my wife at a restaurant on the other side of the bridge to ensure I could get this photo when the light was right. That, and I had to hike half way down the gorge otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the whole structure. I could easily spend six months here photographing this bridge every day, but will have to settle for less than 24 hours instead.
