Ronda Bullring
Today's entry was going to be another view of Ronda's fabulous bridges, one of which I featured yesterday. I even got up before dawn (in the coldish morning air) to get in position for the sunrise like a real photographer. I captured some nice images, but that plan quickly changed after we visited the amazing bullfighting museum contained in the Plaza de Toros which was constructed entirely of stone in the late 18th century. The museum is fascinating, but no photography is allowed (though I saw plenty of people snapping away with their phones). No matter, the 66 meter diameter rueda (the circle of sand is the largest in Spain, 6 meters bigger than Madrid's) offered many photographic opportunities including this interplay of light and shadow.
