To Meet Up

I have journeyed down to Newlyn in Cornwall to collect this oil painting.

It has been in my wife's family for around fifty years.  It was painted by William Mellor (1851-1931) and depicts Easedale Tarn in the Lake District.

After about 150 years of hanging around it was very much in need of repair and cleaning.

This job has been completed by the very talented restorer Alison, seen here.

The picture will then be boxed up and I will bring it back home.

Before that however I will be roaming around England to visit a few old chums....
