The road to the end of the earth
That's what it felt like as we prepared to spend our last night on the Isle of Harris at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle, and drove beyond it to the end of the road and the tiny settlement at Huisinis. To be greeted by silver sands and Lewisian gneiss, the oldest rock on earth. American friend Susie gazed out at the angry ocean venting it's wrath on the shore, and for the first time in two days we felt the wind drop. Perhaps our ferry will sail tomorrow after all.
