Dehli Drivin!

Woke up early to get some ?blipage? done, we have good internet here so want to fill in the missing days before we head home on Wednesday.

This morning we went for a lovely run around the grounds of our hotel (quite big?.not a long run distance but definitely worthy of a few laps). We then headed to the spa for a very adventurous swim in the outdoor pool (unheated), then a lovely swim in the original indoor pool (much warmer!), then a lovely spell in the steam/sauna. The husband disappeared sharpish as he wanted to get the final day of the test on the TV.

We had a nice spot of lunch then checked out of the Rambagh Palace which was clearly the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in and probably ever will!

We then took a massive deep breath and headed out to the bazaars to do a bit of present shopping.

The experience was mainly successful but rather intense. The main thing I learnt was a) don?t take a husband with you that may be hungry, especially while the cricket is on b) check the really expensive places first to see the quality and cost then go to more local places to get a better deal
c) never sit down d) always remember how you came in as some places seem to have a knack of holding you hostage until you buy something!

Anyhow, we decided that we were probably the worst type of customers that they would get. We never sat down when they told us, and we always quartered their price as a starting point to haggle from, if they didn?t move on price we simply left straight away.
Once we had run out of energy we got into the car for our journey back to Dehli. Driving in Dehli is a real experience, one that heightens all senses. In the end we both plugged into our pods to drown out the constant horn blowing which is compulsory here. Never seen so many lorries in the fast lane, being constantly undertaken at death deifying speeds!
