Bordeaux's Basilica at Night

This morning we took a bus to Bordeaux-- 2 1/2 hours, many stops along the cape, every seat taken till near the end--quite an experience.  Taking the ferry and then a train from Acachon was a shorter alternative, but that would have meant too much schlepping of baggage.

The extra shows our farewell breakfast around the balcony table--don't miss two-year old Ella's wave.  Others are Marylee, Thierry, Aude and Anne-Marie--our host and Ella's grandmother; she spends a good part of the warmer months in this house, and the rest of the time in Paris.  Marylee has known Thierry   since her stay in Paris in 1990-91.

We had a wonderful eight days at Cap Ferret--a part of France which neither Marylee nor I had experienced.Particular blips include a kingfisher and a sunset with the earth's shadow.
