Today's the day .......................... for interesting skies

A day of sunshine and showers as we drove home to Kendal from Dumfries & Galloway.

Sunshine to start with - and a patriotic Scottish saltire in the sky formed from the remnants of plane trails.  By the time we got to the border, the sky was black and the rain was heavy.

The only compensation was a bright rainbow that followed us all the way down the M6 to home ...............................
