An Sgurr

On the busy ferry from Mallaig to Eigg we spotted more whales and dolphins. Just the usual fayre!

After arrival at Eigg, we joined the procession of passengers for the walk along the new (2004) pier to the shop and then headed onto the hillside to climb An Sgurr. The weather was little hazy and the midges made sure we kept moving but after 2hrs we were all on the summit and marvelling at the weird volcanic rock of the ridge and the strange shadows in the Minch far below.
