Shades of gold

Today my van had to go to the garage for an operation, so I borrowed my sister's car to get out and about.  

Went to my favourite book shop but they didn't have the book I wanted
Went to my favourite clothes shop and didn't buy any clothes
Went to a motorhome sales yard but didn't buy a motorhome
Went to a gift shop and didn't buy the macadamia nut liqueur

Gave up, and went to the park for an hour of photography.  Not many monarch butterflies about but I did find this one resting on the kowhai tree. It's always possible that there were a lot more of them, but they were very hard to spot in amongst the flowers.

The news on my van was not good.  A new water pump and cam belt appear to be in her future.  *sigh*
