Panoramic view of Hvar, Croatia
We have travelled North-Westwards from the Island of Mljet, and are now not far from Split.
The town of Hvar is the largest on Hvar Island: this photo, taken from the Venetian fortress which dominates the town's skyline, gives a good idea of the constant flow of boats (including numerous useful ferries) and ships to be encountered along the Dalmatian Coast.
Photographic note: the Panasonic Lumix used here creates panoramas in-camera - a very convenient and indeed clever option, but with a tendance to produce curves where none exist. Here they are noticeable on the horizon line and on a street (and one of its buildings) at the bottom of the image.
