Jolly Town Crier

A trip to Helmsley a popular award winning market town with lots of independent shops and a regular meeting point for motorcyclists.

As we were meandering through the town we met this gentleman in splendid attire. Apparently he has just been appointed as Helmsley's Town Crier. His coat is made from Yorkshire Wool with Ostrich Feathers in his hat. He took great delight in telling us he had appeared as an extra in the new Dads Army movie. He was the town crier who led the Walmington on Sea St George's parade filmed in Bridlington. He also is reputed to be the loudest town crier in the land and will represent the town in Town Crier competitions.
