Easter?

So I wondered around the garden looking for the next shot of autumn when I came across this emerging flower in the rock garden.  It is pulsatilla vulgaris.

I planted one a couple of houses ago and pointed it out to the kids overtime we passed it.  The common name is the pasque flower.  So the kids were informed of the French for Easter.  They were also informed it was called that because it flowered at Easter time.  They learned that it was possible to extract dye from the flower and use it to decorate Easter eggs.  They learned all sorts of nonsense which they will pass on.

And this one is flowering in the Autumn.  I realise the dates for Easter shift around  little but ....
