Isabelle Shrike(Lanius isabellinus)

A female Isabelline Shrike(Butcher bird) calling, before actually showing off her incredible skills at catching flying prey and then spearing the poor Red Darter dragonfly on a thorn and eating it! See the extra photo if you can bare it! If you notice in the extra photo, her tail feathers are wet from swooping down to catch the dragonfly in the Wadi river. A great natural history experience, but feel sorry for the poor dragonfly!
