Another funny old day weatherwise, a hat on hat off , hood up hood down sort of day . We walked up Whiteside. Beautiful. Hardly a soul around, and we managed to stay dry. We were just anticipating great views at the top when a huge dollop of cloud blew over and sat on top of us. No point in hanging around when it's like that, so we touched the cairn and set off down again. It was steep so hard work going up and a bit slippery slidey going down.
We had to go and have coffee and shortbread at the farm tea shop in Buttermere to re energise! Croft House Farm Cafe. Excellent it was , as always.
