Galleries La Fayette
Our first visit of the day was to the Opera Garner. I went because I knew the Opera house was a favourite spot of my grandparents, Margie went because of the nearby perfume counters in Galleries La Fayette… Well at least we had the opportunity to reflect on the beauty of the roof in the main store. It was built in the days when they built shops and railway stations like cathedrals, whilst now they build churches like shops and railway stations. Plus ça change. Later highlights included a Pic Nic sur L’Isle de la Cité, crepes in the Quartier Latin, a Cruise on the Seine and Soupe a l’Oignon en Montmartre. Where does time go when you have so much to do?
