Mont-St-Michel

A guide was waiting at the rear of the church and we were only 5 minutes en retard so not bad for France (busy roads, a slow lunch, large crowds etc.) Mont-St-Michel was larger and more interesting than anticipated, and our guide was pleasant and informative. She got frustrated when it got busy because that meant noisy and she felt that it disturbed the sanctity of the place. She was not above shouting at other visitors who made too much noise, but luckily she didn't shout at us so we were able to relax and watch with detached amusement.
