Water Fun
We tried to leave the house early to visit my parents this morning as they were looking after my niece L, but in reality, we arrived around 11am (which isn't early by most people's standards!) I left H to play with cousin L, and took O to the shops with me. We bought a new casserole dish to replace the big one I dropped in the kitchen a few weeks ago (absolutely shattered) from Dunelm Mill, and a new PVC tabard for H.
When I arrived back, L's mummy had just collected her just as the paddling pool had been filled, so H was playing in it or her own. Both H and O were tired after lunch, so we headed home to make dinner and play out in the garden for a while (following a nap in the car!) I had managed to carry H in to the house and lay her on the settee, still asleep, so when she woke up, I had filled her little splash pool as a surprise. When hubby came home, he connected the house to this little alien who squirts water all around the garden.
I left hubby to deal with the kids and had a nice little night out - it was a charity pamper night organised by the toddlers group. We had a glass of wine at my friend J's house before heading along though and lost track of time so it was a bit too busy when we arrived. In the end it was more of a catch up with my friend as we didn't speak to many other people (or win any raffle prizes), but that was nice anyway. We went to the Bothwell Bridge Hotel afterwards to continue chatting and drinking before getting a taxi home.
